2SUM 1G INJ is an antibiotic injection that combines two active ingredients: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. This combination is designed to enhance the efficacy of the antibiotic treatment by overcoming bacterial resistance mechanisms.

• Cefoperazone: A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, Cefoperazone works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, which are essential for bacterial growth and survival. By disrupting the cell wall, Cefoperazone effectively kills a wide range of bacteria.
• Sulbactam: A beta-lactamase inhibitor, Sulbactam protects Cefoperazone from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes. Certain bacteria produce these enzymes to neutralize the effects of beta-lactam antibiotics like Cefoperazone. Sulbactam inhibits these enzymes, allowing Cefoperazone to remain effective, even against bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.
